Seal of Hope Counseling provides steady, thoughtful care for adult women who are navigating anxiety, trauma, and depression. Founded by EMDR certified therapist Lisa Loper, M.Ed., LPC, Seal of Hope Counseling works with adult women in Texas, Virginia, and New Jersey. We offer in-person care at our Sulphur Springs TX office and virtual therapy throughout Texas, Virginia, and New Jersey.
Life can feel overwhelming. Responsibilities pile up. Past experiences linger. You may be functioning well on the outside while feeling unsettled on the inside. Therapy offers a space to slow down, gain clarity, and begin responding differently.
I believe many women learn to cope by pushing through. You take care of responsibilities. You meet expectations. You keep going. Over time, that constant forward motion can leave very little room to process what you are carrying.
Therapy offers a different pace.
In our work together, we slow things down enough to understand what is driving your anxiety, self-doubt, or discouragement. We look at patterns with curiosity instead of criticism. We build skills that support steadiness rather than perfection.
When past experiences continue to influence the present, we address them thoughtfully and intentionally. My training in trauma treatment, including EMDR certification, allows us to process those experiences in a way that feels contained and manageable.
I believe growth is most sustainable when it is steady. Not dramatic. Not rushed. Steady.
For women who desire it, I offer Christian faith-based counseling that thoughtfully integrates spiritual beliefs into the therapy process.
For much of my early life, I personally experienced anxiety and self-doubt. I know what it feels like to look capable while quietly struggling with worry, insecurity, or the sense that you are not quite measuring up. That lived experience, combined with professional training and years of clinical work, shapes the way I show up in the therapy room today.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked in corporate settings, nonprofit organizations, and education. Those seasons of life deepened my understanding of pressure, expectations, and the invisible weight many women carry.
Clients often describe me as calm, steady, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space that feels warm, grounded, and supportive. I believe you have strength within you, and I also believe you deserve practical tools, thoughtful insight, and compassionate care to help you access it.
Outside of the therapy room, I value time with family, meaningful conversation, and quiet moments at home, often with a very small dog who believes she runs the house. Growth does not have to be dramatic to be powerful. Most of the time, it looks like small, steady steps forward, even on the days when progress feels more like shuffling than striding.
Helping women experience lasting change is work I consider both meaningful and deeply personal. I believe small, steady progress counts. If you are ready to begin your own steady progress, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
